1 〔日々を送る〕 pass; spend; 《口》 put in; while away 《the hours》; 〔一定の期間を〕 tide over…; go [get] through…; 〔暮らす〕 live; lead one's life.

・空しく時を過ごす waste time; idle [dawdle] one's time away
